After 4 minutes, Dagoberto Sandoval made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Xandeco FC's zone, Dagoberto Sandoval stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guga de Azevedo came out of the goal and Dagoberto Sandoval tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guga de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Sandoval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagoberto Sandoval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga de Azevedo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Amorim in the 14th minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Alirio Oyuela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Xandeco FC got a corner. Clube do Remo MZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lino Vander ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Lino Vander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alirio Oyuela quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 17th minute, Didi Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 19 minutes, Dagoberto Sandoval made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Xandeco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alirio Oyuela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Amorim in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Xandeco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Sandoval came free, but Guga de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dagoberto Sandoval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga de Azevedo having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Didi Mello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube do Remo MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xandeco FC the free kick. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Didi Mello hit a great ball. After 35 minutes, Dagoberto Sandoval made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38thth minute of the game Dagoberto Sandoval who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dagoberto Sandoval recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagoberto Sandoval in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alirio Oyuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dagoberto Sandoval stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Xandeco FC from getting a goal against them. Clube do Remo MZ's Alirio Oyuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Torres in the 61st minute of play. Dagoberto Sandoval recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dagoberto Sandoval who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Guga de Azevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dagoberto Sandoval during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dagoberto Sandoval kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Dagoberto Sandoval made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Dagoberto Sandoval came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Clube do Remo MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagoberto Sandoval couldn't finish the play. Tiaguinho Mandrak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Guga de Azevedo made a huge save. In the 74th minute Dagoberto Sandoval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo got control of the ball when Dagoberto Sandoval tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Clube do Remo MZ got a corner. Guga de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didi Mello in the 83rd minute. Dagoberto Sandoval was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 93rd minute, Dagoberto Sandoval reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Guga de Azevedo. The goal made the score 0-6. Clube do Remo MZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
