David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Amaral in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Aníbal Alagoano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Paulo Leão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The corner led Jenipapo SC's Raphael Cunha to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Leão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. David Seaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 36th minute of the match. Paulo Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The wind increased when Zico Maravilha made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's Zico Maravilha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Seaman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Despite this Paulo Leão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paulo Leão came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior. But to his dismay, Vinicio Junior quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. David Seaman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zico Maravilha in the 82nd minute of the match. If Aníbal Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Maurício Arósio got a free kick in the 87th minute.
