When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Vicente Nevada sped through Olimpia HSB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tolek Kiszkiel. Boruc Frankowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Fabian Czeszejko took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boruc Frankowski. Boruc Frankowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Boruc Frankowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Czeszejko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bitcoin Elbląg getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Marcin Rekowski hit a great ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Czeszejko couldn't finish the play. Bitcoin Elbląg made a substitution. Olimpiu Vermeşan replaced Jean-Philippe Messe. The Olimpia HSB supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Olimpia HSB would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
