Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Burak Başaran got free with Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Burak Başaran. Taco Uebels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Craandijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Çağrı Coşan in the 16th minute of the match. Taco Uebels didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Komen Schotte went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, Pepijn Hummel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taco Uebels. Fc Benefica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pepijn Hummel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 26th minute Mehmet Çağrı Coşan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Çağrı Coşan came free, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares. But to his dismay, Leandro Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Taco Uebels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepijn Hummel in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Komen Schotte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Taco Uebels was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Çağrı Coşan, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a little luck, FFC Merainies 03's Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu got control of the ball when Mehmet Çağrı Coşan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Komen Schotte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fc Benefica's Taco Uebels proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Benefica from getting a goal against them. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Çağrı Coşan in the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Komen Schotte managed to get in a good position for a shot. FFC Merainies 03's supporters rose to their feet, but Komen Schotte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taco Uebels breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FFC Merainies 03 made a substitution. Gertjan Engbers replaced Jörgen Kjellqvist. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burak Başaran in the 74th minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taco Uebels made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Leon Craandijk sent off a good shot on target. Leon Craandijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Taco Uebels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FFC Merainies 03 made a substitution. Job Gasteren replaced Pepijn Hummel.
