An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepijn Hummel in the 20th minute of play forced Decathlon Dudes's goalkeeper César Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Pepijn Hummel put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of César Sousa. César Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepijn Hummel in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, FFC Merainies 03 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boukjan Bunt to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goal looked a bit too open when Boukjan Bunt came free, but César Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. César Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Craandijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Craandijk in the 35th minute of play forced Decathlon Dudes's goalkeeper César Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Ayuso in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu saved FFC Merainies 03 from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Leon Craandijk notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Decathlon Dudes's César Sousa. César Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pepijn Hummel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Decathlon Dudes's César Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Craandijk in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd match minute, FFC Merainies 03 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Renzi to maneuver through the defense. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilco Keldermans in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Leon Craandijk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. César Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 60 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Hilhorst came free, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute of the match Decathlon Dudes got a corner. FFC Merainies 03's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luuk Theunissen ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Daan Wegman heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. César Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Craandijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Komen Schotte in the 64th minute of the match. Simon Hilhorst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FFC Merainies 03's Gertjan Engbers was substituted for Jörgen Kjellqvist. Decathlon Dudes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Leon Craandijk scored to the left of an out of position César Sousa, making the score, 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as FFC Merainies 03's Komen Schotte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of César Sousa. That made the score 0-6 after 77 minutes of play. FFC Merainies 03 made a substitution. Job Gasteren replaced Pepijn Hummel. César Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izaak Spijker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded FFC Merainies 03 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Decathlon Dudes.
