Han Zhen Han showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Botello in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Leon Craandijk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Han Zhen Han saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Komen Schotte got a free kick in the 21st minute. FFC Merainies 03's Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save FFC Merainies 03 from getting a goal against them. After having played for 23 minutes, Fabio Botello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FFC Merainies 03's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Botello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Han Zhen Han made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepijn Hummel in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Leon Craandijk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Han Zhen Han was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Bruno Cortens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pepijn Hummel was the one to do the kick off. Han Zhen Han took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Komen Schotte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the match, Scorpions United's Quentin van Elderen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Scorpions United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abay Şikel in the 54th minute. Scorpions United's Abay Şikel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Bruno Cortens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Han Zhen Han was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Komen Schotte showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 71 minute of play. Scorpions United made a substitution. Marnix Streels replaced Bruno Cortens. Han Zhen Han showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Komen Schotte, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute of the match FFC Merainies 03 got a corner. Scorpions United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After 89 minutes Scorpions United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabio Botello who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Fabio Botello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Scorpions United's Han Zhen Han did a great save. Han Zhen Han didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pepijn Hummel went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The Scorpions United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FFC Merainies 03 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
