The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 15 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Bruse came free, but Fabian Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kajetan Dawiec made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Simon Blomquist sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Ad Fundum's Kajetan Dawiec got control of the ball when Ramzi Drouart tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute Jacinto Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Dawiec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramzi Drouart in the 34th minute of play forced Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Kajetan Dawiec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Torres in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kajetan Dawiec saved Ad Fundum from getting behind. Pierre-Paul Van Dijck kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabian Söderström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tran Vrolijcx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramzi Drouart made a kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 51 minutes into the game, when Önder Kaçan put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Haithabu FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Önder Kaçan hit a great ball. Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tran Vrolijcx in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tran Vrolijcx in the 56th minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Slaghmeulders might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kajetan Dawiec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Slaghmeulders ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Baldaia got free with Fabian Söderström in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute, Tran Vrolijcx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ad Fundum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tran Vrolijcx in the 69th minute of play. Fabian Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Cornea, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Ramzi Drouart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kajetan Dawiec having to interfere. If Ramzi Drouart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haithabu FC made a substitution. Conrad Vrolijcx replaced Adrian Astigar. Fabian Söderström made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Tomás Baldaia sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute of the match Haithabu FC got a corner. Ad Fundum's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Conrad Vrolijcx ran over to the corner to take the kick. 94 minutes into the game, Tran Vrolijcx recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabian Söderström. Tran Vrolijcx showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The Haithabu FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ad Fundum's performance. The match ended with a win for Ad Fundum.
