The Albertus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leendert Borg should have stopped the shot. Şevket Çağas short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Leendert Borg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stein Spoelberch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 许亦渊 in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Club Brugge booed when Albertus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Merenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Cristo Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Albertus FC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Albertus FC's Warman de Jager looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jan Knops fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Spoelberch having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 许亦渊 in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stein Spoelberch saved Club Brugge from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 孔磊傲 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan Knops fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Spoelberch having to interfere. 孔磊傲 spun around in front of the goal 55 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Albertus FC's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent Nelleboedske in the 65th minute of play forced Albertus FC's goalkeeper Leendert Borg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Albertus FC's Warman de Jager in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Club Brugge booed when Albertus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert Bults didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Simon Elsen came free, but Leendert Borg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Şevket Çağa came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Club Brugge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şevket Çağa couldn't finish the play. Leendert Borg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Simon Elsen's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. A nice corner shot did that Henning Ekström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leendert Borg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Stein Spoelberch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warman de Jager in the 89th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Jan-Simon Elsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leendert Borg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.
