Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The Underdogs's Piearres Olalla started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jakov Cvjetković hit a great ball. Karel Kimman charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karel Kimman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 19 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd. Ralph Roeles made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Dolf Schoonderwoerd sent off a good shot on target. Ralph Roeles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dolf Schoonderwoerd showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. In the 27th minute, Ed Palsma reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ralph Roeles. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 32nd minute of the match The Underdogs got a corner. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ed Palsma ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dolf Schoonderwoerd got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ralph Roeles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Underdogs's Robin Boelens got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan Wessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Caiola in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Henry Bruinsma got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt van der Laan in the 40th minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dolf Schoonderwoerd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dolf Schoonderwoerd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralph Roeles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Frank de Boer kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Petersson in the 48th minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kurt van der Laan to make the kick off. Dolf Schoonderwoerd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ralph Roeles having to make a save. The supporters of The Underdogs booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt van der Laan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Dolf Schoonderwoerd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ralph Roeles. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dolf Schoonderwoerd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Dolf Schoonderwoerd managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Underdogs's supporters rose to their feet, but Dolf Schoonderwoerd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralph Roeles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Ed Palsma got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jan de Vlieger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Wessel having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Jan de Vlieger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 91 played minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Szegh. Ralph Roeles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Dolf Schoonderwoerd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ralph Roeles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Underdogs walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
