Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Carberry in the 3rd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loid De Keuster. In the 8th minute, Loid De Keuster reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vítor Baia. The goal made the score 1-0. Brugge United's Vítor Baia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frans Van Caubergen in the 16th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Frans Van Caubergen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Silver Squad AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some careless play in the Silver Squad AFC defense, Guido Vissenaeken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waud De Geyter. The Silver Squad AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waud De Geyter should have stopped the shot. When Benjamin Carberry came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Silver Squad AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Carberry couldn't finish the play. Guido Vissenaeken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waud De Geyter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute Benjamin Carberry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silver Squad AFC's Henrik Ooms shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vítor Baia but with some difficulty. Waud De Geyter came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken. But to his dismay, Guido Vissenaeken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Damazy Radzyminski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Baia having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frans Van Caubergen. Brugge United made a substitution. Waud Huijbrechts replaced Jaspar Van Den Broeck. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Benjamin Carberry made the kick off in the second half. Guido Vissenaeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Waud De Geyter made a huge save. 64 minutes into the game, Silver Squad AFC's Loid De Keuster nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vítor Baia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When Ümit Karan came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Brugge United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ümit Karan couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Vissenaeken got free with Waud De Geyter in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Loid De Keuster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute Frans Van Caubergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waud De Geyter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 97th minute. Waud De Geyter made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Guido Vissenaeken sent off a good shot on target.
