Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Davus in the 3rd minute of the match. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shaun McLae in the 8th minute of play. When 林振岚 fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Paal-Tervant's protests and gave 林振岚 a yellow card for diving instead. KFC Paal-Tervant:s Freddy Tilens showed great skill when he stopped Guido Vissenaeken:s penalty. In the 24th minute Denis Conincx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Tilens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ümit Karan in the 32nd minute. 32 minutes into the match, Guido Vissenaeken dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Freddy Tilens, 1-0. Denis Conincx hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 39th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Bagge to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Shaun McLae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Arnauld Van Impe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brugge United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 47th minute, Shaun McLae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, KFC Paal-Tervant's Shaun McLae got a free kick in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Freddy Tilens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Arnauld Van Impe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Tilens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Tilens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Goffrey Sas, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute, Arnauld Van Impe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 75th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Freddy Tilens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Tilens came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe. But to his dismay, Arnauld Van Impe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 78th minute, Laurențiu Roşculeţ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Conincx got free with Vítor Baia in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shaun McLae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Baia having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Ümit Karan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Tilens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as KFC Paal-Tervant's Axel Davus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vítor Baia. That made the score 5-1 after 88 minutes of play. 93 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goal looked a bit too open when Goffrey Sas came free, but Freddy Tilens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Ümit Karan sped through KFC Paal-Tervant's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Freddy Tilens. KFC Paal-Tervant's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
