In the 20th minute of the match, Raimundo Travassos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robinho de Salles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Gustavo Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Pinheiro having to interfere. Fábio Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Quintal in the 24th minute of play. Natã Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The corner ended in Valdo Diniz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro did a great save. Fábio Pinheiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Nova Venécia-ES's Natã Quintal shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. The Nova Venécia-ES fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Nova Venécia-ES's Natã Quintal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fábio Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Quintal in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 51st minute of the match Nova Venécia-ES got a corner. Gremio NG's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valdo Diniz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nova Venécia-ES's Valdo Diniz to fire away a dangerous shot which Fábio Pinheiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luís Gustavo Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Fábio Pinheiro made a huge save. With his leg Fábio Pinheiro managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Nova Venécia-ES's Dino Tavares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Natã Quintal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Fábio Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Natã Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Nova Venécia-ES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Quintal couldn't finish the play. Fábio Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natã Quintal's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, one of Gremio NG:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gremio NG. Nova Venécia-ES's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valdo Diniz in the 74th minute. Dino Tavares made a great header on Nova Venécia-ES's corner, it was just that Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro managed to reach the ball for a save.
