After 5 minutes Gremio NG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dario Acosta who took care of the corner kick. Giuseppe Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giuseppe Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Travassos in the 10th minute of the match. Valdo Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Valdo Lucas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio Pinheiro. Gremio NG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdo Lucas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 19 minutes Gremio NG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dario Acosta who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Jimeno Urritz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Valdo Lucas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Craques fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 29 minutes into the game, Deportivo Craques fc's Valdo Lucas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Valdo Lucas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Valdo Lucas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio Pinheiro. After 36 played minutes Deportivo Craques fc got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Vergílio. Giuseppe Silveira made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Júnior Quintana sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Gremio NG getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Renatinho Oliveira hit a great ball. Deportivo Craques fc's attentive Gilvan Porto managed to snatch the ball when Renatinho Oliveira made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. 46 minutes into the game, Deportivo Craques fc's Valdo Lucas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdo Lucas to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Valdo Lucas notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro. Fábio Pinheiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 63 minutes, Jimeno Urritz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Craques fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimeno Urritz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Renatinho Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremio NG's protests and gave Renatinho Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Renatinho Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Gremio NG defense, Valdo Lucas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fábio Pinheiro. The Gremio NG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fábio Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. Fábio Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes Deportivo Craques fc got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Vergílio. Sidnei Vergílio hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
