An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiao Yue in the 13th minute of play forced Vicenza's goalkeeper Adriano Federici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Otto Fesik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Adriano Federici was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Otto Fesik sped through Vicenza's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adriano Federici. Charles de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bianco Pan in the 34th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Otto Fesik notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Vicenza's Adriano Federici. Adriano Federici was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47th minute, Otto Fesik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Atlético Capixaba were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vicenza's goalkeeper Adriano Federici, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Atlético Capixaba made a substitution. Leopoldo de Almeida replaced Pendekar Ngantuk. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vicenza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adam Curteanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Capixaba's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Adam Curteanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adriano Federici quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 68th match minute, Atlético Capixaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Naldo Machado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adriano Federici came out and tried to block the shot, but Naldo Machado slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 70th minute. Vítor-Borba Xerifão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Adriano Federici made a huge save. After 74 minutes, Alfredo Cara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vicenza and the Atlético Capixaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Curteanu couldn't finish the play. The Vicenza fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlético Capixaba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
