The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mochila FC's Frederico Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baturhan Oytun in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baturhan Oytun in the 8th minute of play forced Mochila FC's goalkeeper Frederico Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederico Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baturhan Oytun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mochila FC's goalkeeper Frederico Madureira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Mochila FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Trancoso came free, but Frederico Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match PIAUÍ FC got a corner. Mochila FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Demis Katsarolidis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Víktor Santos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mochila FC's Frederico Madureira did a great save. Frederico Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baturhan Oytun's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Baturhan Oytun sped through Mochila FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frederico Madureira. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mochila FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Demis Katsarolidis was slow to take the kick. During this time PIAUÍ FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to PIAUÍ FC's Mete Gøl getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After the first half PIAUÍ FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Baturhan Oytun's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Frederico Madureira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baturhan Oytun got free with Frederico Madureira in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frederico Madureira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baturhan Oytun showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 59 minute of play. Mochila FC's attack was well implemented in the 66th minute, but when Sílvio Laureano was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. PIAUÍ FC's Baturhan Oytun managed to work through Mochila FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Baturhan Oytun dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. PIAUÍ FC's Baturhan Oytun came free and shot a quick shot against goal 75 minutes in the game, fortunately Frederico Madureira had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Juninho Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mochila FC's Frederico Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guga Trancoso in the 81st minute of play. Mochila FC's Frederico Madureira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Mochila FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Claveau in the 85th minute of play forced PIAUÍ FC's goalkeeper Iurie Chiriacescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juninho Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Frederico Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mochila FC's Sidney Vander got a free kick in the 89th minute. Víktor Santos hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Sidney Vander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iurie Chiriacescu skillfully saved the ball. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PIAUÍ FC! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Mochila FC. Sydney Terra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iurie Chiriacescu. 1-8.
