Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vatan Kambay started the match with the kick off. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Caatiba MZC from getting a goal against them. André Luiz de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 8th minute of the match. 8 minutes in the game, Niceto Ihazintu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 9 minutes, Nando Cearense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.D Leônico and the Caatiba MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nando Cearense hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Niceto Ihazintu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caatiba MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. André Luiz de Barros came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Caatiba MZC's Niceto Ihazintu. But to his dismay, Niceto Ihazintu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 21st minute of play. André Luiz de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Caatiba MZC. Jorge Henrique stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving André Luiz de Barros. 0-4. Ergo Muro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nando Cearense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 30 minute of play. Vatan Kambay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ergo Muro made a huge save. After 36 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Gaby Milito. Cássio Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When Niceto Ihazintu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Caatiba MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niceto Ihazintu couldn't finish the play. After 47 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Henrique. After the first half Caatiba MZC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Ihazintu made a kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.D Leônico's goalkeeper André Luiz de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Niceto Ihazintu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Luiz de Barros, 1-5. In the 62nd minute, Jan-Åke Blomberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A.D Leônico's Frederico Donato got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Luiz de Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niceto Ihazintu went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Frederico Donato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ergo Muro was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Jan-Åke Blomberg kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A.D Leônico's Antoni Piatek was substituted for Cássio Romero. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when A.D Leônico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Åke Blomberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ergo Muro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vatan Kambay's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Niceto Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Luiz de Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the match, A.D Leônico's goalkeeper André Luiz de Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niceto Ihazintu. Niceto Ihazintu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Donato in the 96th minute of play. Caatiba MZC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
