After 7 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Sousa. 9 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Sousa came free, but Daniël De Goeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniël De Goeij having to make a save. 12 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Sousa came free, but Daniël De Goeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Sousa scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniël De Goeij, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thomás Toscano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Lozovan in the 18th minute. When Wilton Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Capibaribe Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilton Fontes couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Limoeiro-PE FC's Richard Neto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thomás Toscano. That made the score 1-2 after 44 minutes of play. After 46 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Nike 武磊. Thomás Toscano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Fabiano Fontes in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Daniel Sousa made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Limoeiro-PE FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilton Fontes was slow to take the kick. During this time Capibaribe Stars's players had a chance to rest. Robert Lozovan struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Thomás Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limoeiro-PE FC. Capibaribe Stars made a substitution. Robinho Urbano replaced Daniel Sousa. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Richard Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limoeiro-PE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomás Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pan Zhi Peng struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Daniël De Goeij didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capibaribe Stars. After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Willian Vaz got a free kick in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Gino do Valle came free, but Thomás Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Capibaribe Stars's Robinho Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Urbano in the 87th minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Daniël De Goeij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Daniël De Goeij successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 89th minute Henry Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël De Goeij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Limoeiro-PE FC's Daniël De Goeij got control of the ball when Henry Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pan Zhi Peng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniël De Goeij having to interfere. Richard Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomás Toscano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The Capibaribe Stars players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
