One of DIPLOMATA FC PAB:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marquês de Herval:s goal. Chico Donato had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Moussa Kabre's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 21st minute of the match, Roberto Lopes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dida Taffarel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Lopes in the 25th minute of play. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
