Moussa Kabre went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Selami Rezan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 14 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Martins. Damian Fetor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Cano in the 16th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the FÊNIX F.C. defense, Alfredo Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Fetor. The FÊNIX F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Fetor should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Martins in the 21st minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 23 in the game by Dorian Moraes from a close distance when the talented Damian Fetor managed to make a qualified save. FÊNIX F.C.'s players were relieved. 24 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Damian Fetor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Alfredo Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Damian Fetor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, FÊNIX F.C.'s Damian Fetor got control of the ball when Alfredo Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 minutes of play, Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Fetor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 42 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorian Moraes. Damian Fetor made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Dorian Moraes sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alfredo Martins made the kick off in the second half. Damian Fetor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when German Cano came free, but Damian Fetor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Fetor came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins. But to his dismay, Alfredo Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 70th minute Dorian Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Fetor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Leite. FÊNIX F.C.'s Genílson Ferraz was substituted for João Carlos Medeiros. Damian Fetor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorian Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Alfredo Martins made a precise shot to the right of Damian Fetor. FÊNIX F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. FÊNIX F.C.'s João Paulo Prata managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Toby Major in the 84 minute of the game. A collision led to FÊNIX F.C. getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Gilberto Leite hit a great ball. Damian Fetor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorian Moraes's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Alfredo Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marquês de Herval's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gilberto Leite fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FÊNIX F.C.'s protests and gave Gilberto Leite a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Gilberto Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
