When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Cristo Basajaun put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Oscar-Alfredo Ibanez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heigo Luiga in the 29th minute of play forced RAMBO FC's goalkeeper Oscar-Alfredo Ibanez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Benvide Cercalde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Cristo Basajaun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oscar-Alfredo Ibanez, 2-1. Oscar-Alfredo Ibanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Frederico in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benvide Cercalde in the 59th minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar-Alfredo Ibanez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by RAMBO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gavril Bosioc was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A.Independiente's players had a chance to rest. The RAMBO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar-Alfredo Ibanez should have stopped the shot. RAMBO FC made a substitution. Erasto Cobo replaced Benvide Cercalde. RAMBO FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cheche Bellogin in the 78th minute. After taking down the ball on RAMBO FC's corner Cheche Bellogin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ciriaco Macias quite easily take care of the ball. In the 79th match minute, C.A.Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Baumar to maneuver through the defense. C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Rico in the 83rd minute of play. Ciriaco Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasto Cobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Oscar-Alfredo Ibanez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Basajaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A.Independiente made a substitution. Javier Milei replaced Indiana Jones. C.A.Independiente's Lorenzo Rosas was substituted for Heigo Luiga. C.A.Independiente's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
