In the 14th minute of the match, Bernardo lago tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredo Paraibano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in FÊNIX F.C.'s zone, Leopoldo Gaxan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Paraibano came out of the goal and Leopoldo Gaxan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Pedro Luís Pereira got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 21 in the game by Jerónimo Furtado from a close distance when the talented Alfredo Paraibano managed to make a qualified save. FÊNIX F.C.'s players were relieved. Leopoldo Gaxan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Paraibano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Lourenço Gomes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerónimo Furtado got free with Alfredo Paraibano in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Jerónimo Furtado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Bernardo lago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FÊNIX F.C.'s Jailson Favoretto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Witalis Konopka, made in the 41st minute of the game. In the 46th minute Bengt Bouchard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bengt Bouchard to strike the kick off in the second half. Leukothoe Atsidakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Witalis Konopka made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FÊNIX F.C.'s Jailson Favoretto. 56 minutes into the match, Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Teixeira came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Gaxan in the 59th minute of play. Bengt Bouchard struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Edwin van der Sar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FÊNIX F.C.. FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 62nd minute of play. Edwin van der Sar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bengt Bouchard showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 87 minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
