BRASIL.Sp's Luís Guilherme Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save BRASIL.Sp from getting a goal against them. C.A.Independiente's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernardino Gonsalve in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute, C.A.Independiente's Cristo Basajaun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Almir Matos scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciriaco Macias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Cristo Basajaun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Guilherme Marques was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Cristo Basajaun managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Basajaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Guilherme Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Barros in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's goal looked a bit too open when Heigo Luiga came free, but Luís Guilherme Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heigo Luiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme Marques having to interfere. C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Luís Guilherme Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Basajaun in the 53rd minute of play. Almir Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciriaco Macias having to make a save. BRASIL.Sp made a substitution. Marcel Sanches replaced Guilherme Dantas. 60 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Basajaun came free, but Luís Guilherme Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to C.A.Independiente getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. The BRASIL.Sp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Guilherme Marques should have stopped the shot. C.A.Independiente made a substitution. Tom Misaki replaced Cristo Basajaun. In the 92nd minute, Heigo Luiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Guilherme Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Misaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the C.A.Independiente players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
