Gong Zhan Chen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Holger Vester came out and tried to block the shot, but Gong Zhan Chen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Gösta Söderberg hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gösta Söderberg sped through └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arlindo Rossi. The Hammarby IF fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Hammarby IF's Celedonio Dominguez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Holger Vester managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Ronaldo Simão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ defense, Celedonio Dominguez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arlindo Rossi. The └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arlindo Rossi should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Ola Bremming notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Arlindo Rossi. Arlindo Rossi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hammarby IF's Frans Beckenbauer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arlindo Rossi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Totti in the 37th minute of play forced └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalkeeper Arlindo Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th match minute, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Laguna to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Hammarby IF's Francesco Totti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celedonio Dominguez to make the kick off. With a little luck, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Arlindo Rossi got control of the ball when Francesco Totti tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Celedonio Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammarby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Dominguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
