The FC MCM fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when FC MCM's Viktor Axelsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Isbășoiu couldn't finish the play. Viktor Axelsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Sérgio de Azevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cafu de Senna during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sérgio de Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC MCM walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
