Cosme Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. With an all-out effort, Palestra do Interior's Cosme Pere threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 韩默克, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 13 minutes in the game Jorginho Ferreira did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Herbert Pankowski. The audience thought a goal was coming when 韩默克 got free with Cosme Pere in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Corneliu Dridu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allan Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Palestra do Interior's 韩默克 in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dr Lecter SC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by 韩默克 in the 32nd minute of play forced Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Cosme Pere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Dr Lecter SC's Cosme Pere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 韩默克 in the 43rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corneliu Dridu in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Palestra do Interior players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dr Lecter SC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 韩默克 to strike the kick off in the second half. Cosme Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra do Interior from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute, Percival Cruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cosme Pere was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 71st minute, Romário Barbosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palestra do Interior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Mauro Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner. Niclas Danielsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Dr Lecter SC's goalie and right to Evripidis Picoulas. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Dr Lecter SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 84 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Lago came free, but Cosme Pere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosme Pere came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago. But to his dismay, Vitório Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After a rather tough play, Dr Lecter SC's Laércio Guedes got a free kick in the 86th minute. Cosme Pere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Corneliu Dridu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Domingos Da Guía hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dr Lecter SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palestra do Interior.
