The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Régis Mello hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jon-Egil Schjelderup hit a great ball. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Kondysar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Jon-Egil Schjelderup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalle Billberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeo Rufo came out and tried to block the shot, but Kalle Billberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jon-Egil Schjelderup came free, but Amadeo Rufo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thommy Maerschalks in the 20th minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeng Xu Yuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Amadeo Rufo made a huge save. Amadeo Rufo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witalis Brysz in the 25th minute of play. Amadeo Rufo came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Poetass FC's Witalis Brysz. But to his dismay, Witalis Brysz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeng Xu Yuan in the 31st minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Amadeo Rufo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Erechim - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Zeng Xu Yuan came free, but Amadeo Rufo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Songurbey Şahsuvar in the 40th minute of play. Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Songurbey Şahsuvar in the 41st minute of play. If Zeng Xu Yuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute Poetass FC were awarded a corner. Jon-Egil Schjelderup went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Zeng Xu Yuan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Amadeo Rufo did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Witalis Brysz to make the kick off. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Amadeo Rufo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witalis Brysz in the 51st minute of play. Poetass FC made a substitution. Cássio Maia replaced Jon-Egil Schjelderup. Amadeo Rufo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witalis Brysz in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeng Xu Yuan in the 72nd minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo Rufo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeng Xu Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Zeng Xu Yuan came free, but Amadeo Rufo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Rufo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witalis Brysz, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Maia came free, but Amadeo Rufo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Goiano made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Edin Džeko sent off a good shot on target. The Nova Erechim - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Rufo should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Poetass FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
