The Jenipapo SC fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edin Džeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Seaman having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Nova Erechim - FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Guilherme Peres went to the cornerflag to take it. Jenipapo SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
