In the 11th minute of the match, Andriy Shevchenko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sérgio de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andriy Shevchenko's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute A.D Leônico were awarded a corner. Andriy Shevchenko went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led A.D Leônico's Tony Mendes to fire away a dangerous shot which Sérgio de Azevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Donato in the 17th minute of play. BMB IMOVEIS SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andriy Shevchenko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Laerte Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
