But to his dismay, Corneliu Dridu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dr Lecter SC's Cosme Pere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andriy Shevchenko in the 10th minute of play. A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 13th minute of play. Cosme Pere made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Frederico Donato sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute Omid Kaulbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Romero tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired André Luiz de Barros. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute Omid Kaulbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Luiz de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Dridu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 28th minute of play forced A.D Leônico's goalkeeper André Luiz de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Mendes hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. André Luiz de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 33rd minute of the match. Cosme Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Donato in the 36th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Andriy Shevchenko made the kick off in the second half. Cosme Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Matías Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Mauro Romero sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros didn't even have to move. André Luiz de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Corneliu Dridu's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute, Dr Lecter SC's Válbson Batista seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Válbson Batista the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dr Lecter SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Válbson Batista had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 60 played minutes Dr Lecter SC got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Batista. The supporters of A.D Leônico booed when Dr Lecter SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, A.D Leônico's Nando Cearense got a free kick in the 66th minute. Antoni Piatek charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antoni Piatek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 69 minutes into the match, A.D Leônico's goalkeeper André Luiz de Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingos Da Guía. With a little luck, A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros got control of the ball when Omid Kaulbach tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Andriy Shevchenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cosme Pere was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Cosme Pere didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frederico Donato went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. When Alfredo Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the A.D Leônico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Catarinense couldn't finish the play. After 90 played minutes Dr Lecter SC got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Fernandez. In the 91st minute, Frederico Donato made a precise shot to the right of Cosme Pere. Dr Lecter SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Dr Lecter SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
