Cosme Pere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Palestra do Interior were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corneliu Dridu was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dr Lecter SC's zone, Vitório Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosme Pere came out of the goal and Vitório Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Dr Lecter SC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Domingos Da Guía hit a great ball. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ma Wei Jun, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Dr Lecter SC's Cosme Pere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Lago in the 85th minute of play. Vitório Lago took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cosme Pere. Cosme Pere dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.
