Esteve Nafarroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ma Wei Jun took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Seaman. David Seaman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Nafarroa came free, but Norbert Grondzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Vinicio Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Grondzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omid Kaulbach in the 22nd minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 29th minute of the game was made by Arcan Siralp with Zé Carlos Monteiro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 31 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Alagoano came free, but Norbert Grondzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Arcan Siralp with Esteve Nafarroa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Tihomir Donevski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Vinicio Junior had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norbert Grondzki. Dr Lecter SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinicio Junior was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's Tihomir Donevski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Seaman narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aníbal Alagoano to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Jenipapo SC's Norbert Grondzki threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vinicio Junior, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arsenio Gipuzkoa made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zé Carlos Monteiro immediately put the ball in play. After 63 minutes of play, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Seaman was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Seaman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Corneliu Dridu's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Norbert Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Junior in the 87th minute of play. Corneliu Dridu might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Seaman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corneliu Dridu ran back to his position shaking his head. Aníbal Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Norbert Grondzki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jenipapo SC.
