The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Capivara FC booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigiusz Paciuszko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neycho Mudrov in the 10th minute of play. With a little luck, Capivara FC's Péter Pálffy got control of the ball when Benson Beverley tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's Neycho Mudrov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remigiusz Paciuszko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorginho Garcia got free with Péter Pálffy in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mitchell Godwin came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Capivara FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitchell Godwin couldn't finish the play. Remigiusz Paciuszko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitchell Godwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Mitchell Godwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigiusz Paciuszko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Neycho Mudrov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's goalkeeper Péter Pálffy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benson Beverley. Péter Pálffy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benson Beverley, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Boguslaw Makarewicz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 39th minute. Mestre GG's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After the first half Capivara FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mitchell Godwin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Boguslaw Makarewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 51 minutes, Gino Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mestre GG and the Capivara FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Capivara FC booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mitchell Godwin took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigiusz Paciuszko. Remigiusz Paciuszko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After having played for 57 minutes, Manoel Garrincha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capivara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manoel Garrincha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jorginho Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remigiusz Paciuszko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva Tavares's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Capivara FC got a corner. Mestre GG's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Neycho Mudrov ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Neycho Mudrov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Remigiusz Paciuszko quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 66 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goalkeeper Remigiusz Paciuszko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mitchell Godwin. 1-2 became the score in the 67th minute when Jorginho Garcia elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Benson Beverley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Péter Pálffy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Capivara FC's Zhang Chen was substituted for Manoel Garrincha. Capivara FC made a substitution. João Francisco Mota replaced Ragnar Stigsson. Remigiusz Paciuszko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitchell Godwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mitchell Godwin during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Mitchell Godwin. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Capivara FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
