After the first half INTER FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Hortêncio Linhares got free with Ismael Nazario Serre in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute, INTER FC's Hortêncio Linhares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ismael Nazario Serre. Ismael Nazario Serre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 92nd minute Valdemar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Kosmatka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
