Tite Pombo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maicon Trevisan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. With his leg Maicon Trevisan managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Tostão Motta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute Jereba 4EVER were awarded a corner. Rafinha Cearense went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Quirino in the 30th minute of play forced E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's goalkeeper Alexandre Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogdan Gomolka was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute of the match Rafinha Cearense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Brasil skillfully saved the ball. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafinha Cearense was slow to take the kick. During this time Jereba 4EVER's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Jereba 4EVER's Rafinha Cearense to fire away a dangerous shot which Alexandre Brasil despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ruy Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
