Marcelo Valverde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Gilmar da Rocha in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by INTER FC's Kléber do Valle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urban Stenman in the 23rd minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Leon Kosmatka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrenta SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Paulo do Valle in the 24th minute. Leon Kosmatka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 26th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustín Tastzian to make the kick off. Nariman Mansourian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Kosmatka having to interfere. Marco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After 70 played minutes INTER FC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber do Valle. 72 minutes in the game Luiz Paulo do Valle after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Leon Kosmatka. A very good opportunity. With a little luck, INTER FC's Leon Kosmatka got control of the ball when Genílson Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leon Kosmatka made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Nariman Mansourian sent off a good shot on target. Barrenta SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Paulo do Valle in the 79th minute. Léo Trigo tried in the 79th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Leon Kosmatka a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-3. Mandi Oca hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. INTER FC's Kléber do Valle managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gilmar da Rocha in the 88 minute of the game. In the 89th match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Leite to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Linhares in the 90th minute of play. INTER FC's Hortêncio Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mandi Oca in the 97th minute of play. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrenta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Léo Trigo was slow to take the kick. During this time INTER FC's players had a chance to rest. Léo Trigo made a great header on INTER FC's corner, it was just that Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo managed to reach the ball for a save. The INTER FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Barrenta SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
