Farid Mondragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Levan Dost got free with Yunus-Emre Balcik in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Rodrigues came free, but Farid Mondragon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Levan Dost ran back to his position shaking his head. Levan Dost could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Yunus-Emre Balcik made a huge save. After the first half Osmanlı İmparatorluğu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB made a substitution. İbrahim Kerdiğe replaced Vincent Kompany. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Levan Dost to strike the kick off in the second half.
