After 11 minutes of play, Machada FC's Alberto Portugal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Selahaddin Esentürk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cüneyd Bektaş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerim Altunbaş in the 14th minute of the match. Tarcisio Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kerim Altunbaş to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mati Magen in the 82nd minute of play forced Machada FC's goalkeeper Cüneyd Bektaş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Machada FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mati Magen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
