The GD JULIO DINIS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedito Melo should have stopped the shot. Benedito Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 20th minute of the match. Gualter Amaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Laçın Cumayev made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Leiria in the 23rd minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin de Lara in the 26th minute of play forced GD JULIO DINIS's goalkeeper Benedito Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GD JULIO DINIS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 35 minutes, Stig-Åke Mattsson made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. GD JULIO DINIS's Benedito Melo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th match minute, GD JULIO DINIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Amaro to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 王枫岚 made a kick off. GD JULIO DINIS's Benedito Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin de Lara in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to GD JULIO DINIS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Norberto Quaresma hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Benjamin de Lara took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Benedito Melo to make any attempt to save it. SC Braga made a substitution. Quintino Carvalhais replaced Antonio Cieri. If André Jordão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedito Melo saved GD JULIO DINIS from getting behind. In the 73rdth minute of the game Stig-Åke Mattsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GD JULIO DINIS's Benedito Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Braga's Stig-Åke Mattsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benedito Melo. That made the score 0-7 after 74 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 王枫岚 in the 79th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laçın Cumayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leal Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
