Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renato Aragão in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Péter Mészáros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Piao FC's Durval Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Bomba in the 64th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Inácio Secco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Durval Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Piao FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
