AD Oliveirense's Júlio César proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save AD Oliveirense from getting a goal against them. A nice corner shot did that Denis Osokin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Júlio César quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. AD Oliveirense's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when José Bomba scored to the left of an out of position Júlio César, making the score, 1-0. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind AD Oliveirense's goalkeeper Júlio César, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Bomba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Bomba in the 53rd minute of play forced AD Oliveirense's goalkeeper Júlio César to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If José Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Júlio César showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Bomba in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 86th minute José Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio César saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C.
