Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Pablo Vegetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Bomba in the 22nd minute of play forced CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Duarte Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C. Paços de Ferreira were furious when Saúl Zambujal was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C. Paços de Ferreira! Miguel Poças had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Ulisses Duarte's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Kürşat Aktaş hit a great ball. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golo Duarte in the 35th minute of play. Kürşat Aktaş made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gustavo Brás immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Duarte in the 41st minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emin Sağan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Duarte having to interfere. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Duarte Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Golo Duarte to make the kick off. Miguel Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Kürşat Aktaş with Gustavo Brás as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to F.C. Paços de Ferreira getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. João Maia hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Aquiles Duarte shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Poças showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kürşat Aktaş made in the 65th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gustavo Brás. João Maia hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Miguel Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Duarte in the 74th minute of the match. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Vegetti in the 76th minute of play. F.C. Paços de Ferreira made a substitution. Fabrício Travassos replaced João Maia. Igor Tudor tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Miguel Poças. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-0 in the 79th minute. Miguel Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Golo Duarte in the 84th minute of the match. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Duarte in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C. Paços de Ferreira's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aquiles Duarte was slow to take the kick. During this time CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's players had a chance to rest. Gustavo Brás was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Golo Duarte in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Poças made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C. Paços de Ferreira players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land.
