David Bastos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roberto Tinoco hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of AM United booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aras Görkem Kaymaz in the 37th minute of play. If Cai Yuan Yuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half MZ Fénix were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

David Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 51st minute of the match. Cai Yuan Yuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. AM United's David Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save AM United from getting a goal against them.
