Thanks to some nice moves Henrique Candal could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Abel Meira however easily saved by the left post. Abel Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Gentil's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Júlio Gentil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Meira was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Oso Cienfuegos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. With a little luck, FC Beatriz 08's Abel Meira got control of the ball when Júlio Gentil tried to sneak it across the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaspar Gago to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC Beatriz 08's Domingos Estrela got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Sabino Vilhena came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Matos Velhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabino Vilhena couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Gentil in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Abel Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Júlio Gentil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Jiang Qing Lin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Gentil in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Meira saved FC Beatriz 08 from getting behind. Henrique Candal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Meira having to make a save. Júlio Gentil succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Abel Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Candal's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Matos Velhos's Karl Nietlisbach was substituted for Sabino Vilhena. The supporters of Matos Velhos booed when FC Beatriz 08 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vito de Godoi. 81 minutes into the game, Lee Beckford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Abel Meira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Nietlisbach came free, but Abel Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 minutes FC Beatriz 08's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tord Böcklund who took care of the corner kick. Vito de Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Márcio Cordeiro in the 87th minute. Özdemir Saygur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Abel Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Júlio Gentil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matos Velhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Gentil in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Júlio Gentil put it in 8-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abel Meira. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Matos Velhos had won after a very even match.
