The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when André Roriz got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Ricardo Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. MEXACOMX's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignatius Casasola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Guerra took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ignatius Casasola. Ignatius Casasola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's Ricardo Guerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignatius Casasola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Garanhão do SUL's zone, Ricardo Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignatius Casasola came out of the goal and Ricardo Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Murilo Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11thth minute of the game André Roriz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by MEXACOMX's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassiano Telinhos was slow to take the kick. During this time Garanhão do SUL's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cassiano Telinhos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel did a great save. In the 17th minute Ricardo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Garanhão do SUL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Julio-César Romo-Leroux was slow to take the kick. During this time MEXACOMX's players had a chance to rest. Ricardo Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ignatius Casasola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignatius Casasola was left in no man's land by his defense there! Januário Rangel made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Edgar Costa sent off a good shot on target. Cassiano Telinhos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Ricardo Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignatius Casasola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half MEXACOMX were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Guerra to make the kick off. MEXACOMX's Cláudio Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Cassiano Telinhos. 65 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Wu Liang Mo came free, but Ignatius Casasola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match MEXACOMX got a corner. Garanhão do SUL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julio-César Romo-Leroux ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on MEXACOMX's corner Ricardo Guerra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ignatius Casasola quite easily take care of the ball. Ricardo Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignatius Casasola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. Ignatius Casasola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Guerra in the 71st minute. Ignatius Casasola was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricardo Guerra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 77 minute of play. Garanhão do SUL's Amado Vigário was substituted for Torcato Rebocho. The crowd rose to their feet as MEXACOMX's Ricardo Guerra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ignatius Casasola. That made the score 0-6 after 82 minutes of play. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when MEXACOMX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aloísio Garcez struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Januário Rangel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garanhão do SUL. 90 minutes in the game, Wu Liang Mo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. Albano Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Januário Rangel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MEXACOMX's Ricardo Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MEXACOMX walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
