The audience thought a goal was coming when Adérito Abreu got free with Rodrigo Lima in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adolfo Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernand Joanny in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Joaquim Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mao Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Machados FC V2 got a corner. Academia Monte Gordo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pascoal Espírito Santo ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 22nd minute of play forced Machados FC V2's goalkeeper Rodrigo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernand Joanny in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Machados FC V2's Pascoal Espírito Santo got a free kick in the 28th minute. Rodrigo Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 29th minute. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernand Joanny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Lima made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Adérito Abreu sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute of the game Enzo Quintas made a throw-in which Pascoal Espírito Santo played forward. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Paredes was the one to do the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Joaquim Paredes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Machados FC V2's Pascoal Espírito Santo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Fernand Joanny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mao Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Fernand Joanny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Machados FC V2's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernand Joanny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mao Zhen Hong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Academia Monte Gordo's Dinei Sergipano was substituted for Adérito Abreu. In the 75th minute of the game Enzo Soveral made a throw-in which Pascoal Espírito Santo played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernand Joanny in the 79th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fryderyk Grucza, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Brin Jeromen made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pascoal Espírito Santo. After having played for 96 minutes, Fryderyk Grucza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Monte Gordo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fryderyk Grucza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Academia Monte Gordo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Machados FC V2's performance. The match ended with a win for Machados FC V2.
