Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Israel Carvalhal in the 10th minute. In the 25thth minute of the game Gonzalo Lixandro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raimundo Ventura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Mao Zhen Hong made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Raimundo Ventura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mao Zhen Hong. That made the score 1-1 after 29 minutes of play. Qiu Chuan Ran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Lustosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 33rd minute of play. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Lustosa in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Witold Piszczor hit a great ball. The throw-in from Witold Piszczor in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Academia Monte Gordo's Pascual Mouricio. Academia Monte Gordo's Pascual Mouricio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Witold Piszczor in the 42 minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonzalo Lixandro to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Academia Monte Gordo getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mao Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Ventura in the 78th minute of the match.
