With a little luck, SEGAFREDO CF's Marius Søndenå got control of the ball when Pascual Mouricio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute, Fabrício Lustosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Monte Gordo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Marius Søndenå didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabrício Lustosa went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Lustosa got free with Marius Søndenå in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th match minute, Academia Monte Gordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Matsson to maneuver through the defense. SEGAFREDO CF's Marius Søndenå played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SEGAFREDO CF's zone, Fabrício Lustosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marius Søndenå came out of the goal and Fabrício Lustosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Homero Cerqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pascual Mouricio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Marius Søndenå made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Fabrício Lustosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marius Søndenå was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 46 played minutes Academia Monte Gordo got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Silva. When SEGAFREDO CF's Silvério Quadros in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Academia Monte Gordo's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alcino Santiago to strike the kick off in the second half. Fryderyk Grucza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marius Søndenå read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Fryderyk Grucza made a precise shot to the right of Marius Søndenå. SEGAFREDO CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Teodoro Águas kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Marius Søndenå showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fryderyk Grucza, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Fryderyk Grucza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute Dinei Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Søndenå saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Academia Monte Gordo booed when SEGAFREDO CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Fryderyk Grucza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Søndenå saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Ignacio Dantae got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Fryderyk Grucza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dinei Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Academia Monte Gordo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinei Sergipano couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Academia Monte Gordo had won after a very even match.
