Adolfo Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alexandre Paiva made in the 11th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gentil Malheiro immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Fabrício Lustosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marius Søndenå was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 15th minute Adérito Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Søndenå saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SEGAFREDO CF. After the first half Academia Monte Gordo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Academia Monte Gordo made a substitution. Fryderyk Grucza replaced Fabrício Lustosa. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raúl Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Homero Cerqueira in the 52nd minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Julião Calado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind SEGAFREDO CF's goalkeeper Marius Søndenå, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Alexandre Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Fryderyk Grucza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marius Søndenå. That made the score 0-2 in the 64 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Cavalcante in the 72nd minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Silvério Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Fryderyk Grucza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marius Søndenå made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Fryderyk Grucza sent off a good shot on target. A throw-in in the 79th minute of the game was made by Alexandre Paiva with Homero Cerqueira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 80 minutes into the game, Homero Cerqueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mao Zhen Hong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Fryderyk Grucza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fryderyk Grucza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Marius Søndenå when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Fryderyk Grucza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Monte Gordo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 95th play minute Fryderyk Grucza came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marius Søndenå. 1-4.
