The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bacardi Black Bats getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Wojciech Grunwalski hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Wojciech Grunwalski notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong. Mao Zhen Hong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Academia Monte Gordo defense, Horaţiu Bacalbașa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mao Zhen Hong. The Academia Monte Gordo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mao Zhen Hong should have stopped the shot. In the 27th match minute, Bacardi Black Bats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelito Silva to maneuver through the defense. Artur Brudzisz came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa. But to his dismay, Fabrício Lustosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Fabrício Lustosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Brudzisz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 36th minute of play. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Monte Gordo's zone, Horaţiu Bacalbașa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mao Zhen Hong came out of the goal and Horaţiu Bacalbașa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 49th match minute, Bacardi Black Bats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelito Silva to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fryderyk Grucza was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bacardi Black Bats's Wojciech Grunwalski got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Artur Brudzisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Grucza in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Fryderyk Grucza had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yao Liang Ming during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Academia Monte Gordo made a substitution. Dinei Sergipano replaced Fryderyk Grucza. In the 62nd match minute, Bacardi Black Bats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yao Liang Ming to maneuver through the defense. Lucio Maule missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 63 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Artur Brudzisz right hand side. 67 minutes in the game Marcelito Silva did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Abílio Severiano. Academia Monte Gordo made a substitution. Kartal Kartalov replaced Pascual Mouricio. In the 72nd match minute, Academia Monte Gordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arana Ponta to maneuver through the defense. After 73 played minutes, Bacardi Black Bats's Hermenegildo Rebelo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bacardi Black Bats reached it. Artur Brudzisz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinei Sergipano went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the game, Academia Monte Gordo's Dinei Sergipano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artur Brudzisz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. After 89 played minutes Bacardi Black Bats got a freekick which was hit by Marcelito Silva. After 91 minutes, Horaţiu Bacalbașa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bacardi Black Bats and the Academia Monte Gordo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bacardi Black Bats's Marcelito Silva got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Sergipano in the 93rd minute of play. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Monte Gordo from getting a goal against them. In the 95th match minute, Academia Monte Gordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boruc Brysz to maneuver through the defense. Academia Monte Gordo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
