The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 10 minutes into the match, Cristo Rey notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Club Atletico Arteixo's Ermegildo Dagora. Ermegildo Dagora was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes into the game, R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's Cristo Rey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ermegildo Dagora made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristo Rey in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Dagora saved Club Atletico Arteixo from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Arteixo's zone, Cristo Rey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Dagora came out of the goal and Cristo Rey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's Cristo Rey got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Toxeiro in the 31st minute of play forced R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's goalkeeper Tony Uchiha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Cristo Rey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ermegildo Dagora was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 39th match minute, Club Atletico Arteixo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xarles Acha to maneuver through the defense. Gerardo Chabier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's Alfonso Ponce slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ermegildo Dagora. That made the score 6-0 after 44 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelino Toxeiro to make the kick off. Cristo Rey struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Cristo Rey might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermegildo Dagora. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristo Rey ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute, Zuberoa Alabern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ermegildo Dagora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Rey in the 96th minute of the match.
